3D Breaking-Wave Simulation

  1. It can simulate the multi-phase flow with structures.
  2. High accuracy compared with lab data.
  3. With Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) turbulence Model
  4. Suitable for simulating the interaction of structures with tsunami bores or river floods.

Dam Break Simulation

In order to study the wave force acting on a square cylinder, a dam break simulation with k-epsilon turbulence model is conducted. In this simulation, half domain is adopted to save the computation efforts. In the animation, we use darker red to represent the stronger turbulent kinetic energy (k). The force comparison is shown as well. The numerical results are compared to the laboratory data.
